“There was this girl who used to make crank calls. I don’t know for sure who she was, though I have an idea. Teenage shenanigans at play. November of 1997.”
Last evening I was watching the telly
When the phone bell rang and I picked up the phone
This girl now she had a beautiful voice
And she asked me if I was alone
My oh my I was sure surprised
‘Cos I never received such a call before
So I asked her can you tell me who you are
That’s something I’d really like to know-ow-ow-ow-ow
But she wouldn’t tell me her name, no way
Guess who, guess who, that’s all she has to say
All the guesses that I make are not okay too
I guess I’d like to call her Miss Guess Who
She told me that she could give me a clue
But it would surely give her naughty game away
All the while she just kept on laughing
It was like sunshine on a rainy day
But she wouldn’t tell me her name, no way
Guess who, guess who, that’s all she has to say
All the guesses that I make are not okay too
I guess I’d like to call her Miss Guess Who
